4th of July

As we celebrate the 4th, we all need to consider the state of our nation. The consequences of our corporate sins can be seen in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, in our children who have grown up with a worldview shaped by a Godless popular culture, in our leaders who value their jobs more than honesty and integrity, who spend and borrow against our grandchildren's futures while turning their backs on our one friend in the middle east, Israel. Our nation has accomplished the greatest transfer of wealth in the history of the world, and we have subsidized both sides of the war on terrorism. Is America experiencing the judgement of God? The God who created the universe put universal laws into effect...we reap what we sow is one of these laws. There is time for us to turn around, to turn from our love of self and comfort and roll up our sleeves to do the right thing in all areas of our lives...to stop blaming BP, the government, the banks, but to look within and truly see that we are all guilty. There is time for America to be great again, we could resolve to create and adopt clean energy practices, clean living, to give up our love of debt, and use our ingenuity to lead the world in creating a whole new way of life. If we do not, it is only a matter of time before we kneel at the feet of those we are indebted to. We need the mercy of God to come to our nation, to our hearts, and set us free from ourselves. Pray, repent, pray.
